Sculptures
In order to expand my skillset, I explored the art of sculpture. Below are a few examples of the sculptures that I have made.
This first sculpture is a welded steel sculpture that explored my love of aviation through a simplified whooshing form and the iconography of a paper plane.
This second sculpture was created using repurposed pieces of an antique wooden chair. I created joints to hold the piece together to form a symbolic mountain with an explorer atop of it. Using the wood from the chair’s backboard that I sanded down, I painted a few of my favorite locations that I have hiked in my life such as Denali National Park, The Appalachian Trail, and Zion National Park.
