Sculptures

I spent time learning the process and skills of lost wax casting create bronze sculptures and to broaden my knowledge of three dimensional art. During this time I created.

1. A bust of a character of mine.

2. American Toad.

3. A bear paperweight that can sit or stand.

4. Globe

This sculpture is a welded steel sculpture that explored my love of aviation through a simplified whooshing form and the iconography of a paper plane.

This sculpture was created using repurposed pieces of an antique wooden chair. I created joints to hold the piece together to form a symbolic mountain with an explorer atop of it. Using the wood from the chair’s backboard that I sanded down, I painted a few of my favorite locations that I have hiked in my life such as Denali National Park, The Appalachian Trail, and Zion National Park.
